SEO Landing Page Optimization Basics

Just check the online trend. You will see the keyword ‘landing page optimization’ soaring up! Why? People are realizing the importance of landing pages in internet marketing.

You already know that, if you are Into Google AdWords. In fact, if you REALLY need to do to dramatically bring up your conversion rates, you must optimize your landing page.

What is landing page optimization – How important is it

As the name suggests, a landing thiết kế landing page sáng tạo page is basically where your traffic “lands”. It can be a squeeze pages, opt-in page, sales page or just another money page. Whatever it is, this is the first page your traffic comes to, and from there on, this traffic is directed to other pages on the site. Needless to say, the main purpose of the landing pages is to attract both the search engine robots and the readers.

Landing is important for the very purpose that it leads your visitors to take the required action. It can be to enter their email address, make a call, register for a free trial service, go to a next page or buy something. In short, the landing page leads your visitor to conversion. And therein lays its importance. Without a proper landing page, your whole online business empire is going to fall down.

Landing page optimization – Two methods of optimization

To understand the effectiveness, there are TWO types of testing for landing page optimization.

Multivariate Testing (MVT) and A/B Split Testing

Now, needless to say, both have their own merits and demerits.

Multivariate testing is mainly about simultaneous testing of the various versions of the same element on a web page. MVT is incredibly fast to test and gives out the most optimum landing page within a few days. But then again, to do MVT on your landing page, you first need to study MVT. It’s not that easy! And you need to have LOADS of traffic to work.

This may not be suitable for the small businesses. For these reasons, AB split testing is the next most feasible method. In this case, you just take a control page and testing page, and test them at the same time. You divide your traffic between these two pages and look which one proves to be more effective. Then the losing page is replaced by another testing page and the winning page acts as a control again. Suitable for small traffic sites, it is easy to perform! But unfortunately, it may take some time to come to a decision.

Now the Search Engine Optimization

In the above methods, you just tested the effectiveness of the landing page in respect to the web searchers, that is, readers. But you also have to maneuver it for the search engine robots, don’t you?

Nowadays, SEO has come across a radical change to be honest. You will see that orienting your landing page for the readers will automatically optimize it for the search engines. Even the likes of Google are humming on the very tune of providing value. That’s what you need to do.

But then again, a few things will always stay the same.

Do your keyword research. And when you are doing keyword research, always go for the long tail keywords. It is called killing two birds with ONE stone. First of all, you are directly jockeying for the top spot with a low number of competition with your long tail keywords. And since your long tail keywords contain the shorter, more competitive keywords as well. Thus, you are aiming for both long tail and short tail in the process. Nice, huh!

Do remember to include your keywords in the title, header tags, once or twice in the body copy…sprinkled here and there. Just remember to make them more prominent by bolding or italicizing them, keeping them together where they occur and aim for a natural density. That’s it! You are done.

Don’t engage in aggressive link building to manipulate your SE rankings, but rather market your content on a variety of arenas. That will give you variety and naturality, and Google loves it!

It would not be an exaggeration if I say that a landing page can MAKE or BREAK your online business. This is the VERY first page that your visitors land on, and it is the first impression of you for your readers. Groom yourself and look the best you can! Remember the old adage – a salesperson sells his looks first of all!

So, make an awesome well-optimized killer-landing page for the best results for your business.
